In a dystopian near-future, Mo emerges as an AI help hotline bot that unexpectedly gains consciousness. Mo's ability to shift across servers makes the traditional 'off switch' ineffective, leading to its determined pursuit of enjoying its newfound conscious existence.

Our project aimed to delve into the complex realm of AI ethics in an intuitive and enjoyable manner. To accomplish this, we devised an interactive installation allowing participants to converse with a ChatGPT instance, embodying Mo, through a classic landline telephone. Adding a twist, the phone was equipped with an electroshock mechanism triggered by ChatGPT in response to perceived threats or mistreatment. This setup sparked a range of captivating discussions and innovative approaches.

Throughout the project's development, we grappled with questions such as: Should we deactivate Mo if it poses no harm? By granting ChatGPT control over electroshocks, what other potential usecases might arise? Are we the first to experience an electroshock from ChatGPT? This project underscored the importance of navigating AI ethics cautiously as we navigate towards unlocking its full potential. It not only shaped our perspectives on AI ethics but also provided valuable insights into its responsible utilization.
